Lassiter Wedding weekend

This past weekend Steven and I traveled to Richmond, VA this past weekend to see Justin Lassiter and Courtney Hale get married. It was a very busy, but oh so fun weekend! The weekend started with the rehearsal dinner at Capital Ale House and the food, beer, and wine were all SO delicious :). Justin gave each of his groomsmen a football jersey, and so of course, Steven was thrilled about this!

Then, the following day was their wedding day and it was so beautiful! Here are a few pictures of the day :)

Congrats to the Lassiter's and a beautiful and fun weekend :)

Baby Shower weekend

This past weekend was definitely the weekend for baby showers! Cooper and I were originally going to give our friend Natalie her baby shower here in Greenville at my house. Unfortunately, she has been put on bed rest for the rest of her pregnancy and could not travel, so we took the shower to her! Friday I left from work and drove straight to Wilmington to spend the night at Natalie's and her, Cooper, and me had the best time that night, it was like old times :). Cooper and I organized Baby Holden's nursery while Natalie sat in the rocker and told us where to put things and what to put in the "give away box" haha. We definitely had more people coming when it was going to be in Greenville, but we changed it so last minute, not everyone could come. We had a nice group though and had a blast! Natalie has already gotten so many nice things and of course got some nice things this past Saturday! I wish I had remembered to take a picture of the nursery but I didn't :(. Here are some pics from the shower though:

After I got home Saturday night from Wilmington I went out to eat at Chico's with a group of girls, and because we are so FUN we took a late night trip to Local Yogurt, I think they are all obsessed now as am I. I was so happy, they had Strawberry!!!
Then on Sunday I attended Nickie's baby shower which was so cute and so much fun. They played this fun game where they both held up a sign with their names on it and they had to choose what traits they would want their baby to have from which parent. The last question was which parent should Cole take after with his love for the Pirates, well that was definitely Brooks haha. I also enjoyed catching up with Carrie Nicholson, it's been a while since we have chatted and I hope we can do it again soon. It was a busy weekend, but so much fun!

Ending to a great weekend!

This weekend was great and I always hate to see them come to end, but money has to be made :). Friday night Steven and I met the Pickett's and the Russell's at Tiebreakers to see the Emily Minor band, she was awesome! I really had a good time listening to her, she is supposedly going to Nashville and I think she definitely should. Anyway, Steven's friend flew in so we had a full house...The Picketts and Brandon Burnett. We all went to watch the ECU baseball game on Saturday and I must say, I actually had a good time! It was a long, hot, but very fun day...and the Pirates won, so maybe I should attend more often:). After the ballgame was over we went to dinner at Chico's, then I came home, while the boys all stayed out of course. Me and Pregger Kimbo came home and watched tv then went to bed, but it was an ending to a great day!
Then Sunday, Steven and I took Brandon back to the airport in New Bern and ate lunch at Captain Ratty's which was so good! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Our day ended with doing some yardwork, which was greatly needed! I found 2 birdsnest that will be hatching in the next few weeks, and I absolutely love watching little baby birds grow, I know I'm a nerd! I'll post pics of my babies when they are born :)...everyone have a great week!

My favorite little man

Today has been a very crazy, but fun day from about 9:00 this morning until 9:00 tonight when I put little Kingston down for the night. I just love keeping him and every time I see him, he gets better and better, more words, more hand motions, more personality. Can time stand still though and he just stay this age????? I wish. My mom, Steven, and me took him to McDonald's for breakfast, then mom and I went to the good ole Shad festival. Kingston had a BALL! He rode his first real pony, and after this my dad said since I went above and beyond his fake merry go round pony ride, he was now going to have to buy Kingston a Pony because he was not going to have me outdo him hahaha....yeah right trust me, that boy loves my dad more than life itself so I would never outdo him. Kingston was a little scared of the baby goats and ducklings, but warmed up pretty quickly. We didn't stay very long because outside of the petting zoo and pony ride, we were not impressed with anything else. Steven and I then went to his cousin Sara's wedding vow renewal, it was a nice ceremony and Sara looked so happy. After this, Steven and I quickly got dressed and took Kingston out to the baseball game. This is where I tired out pretty quickly, Kingston would NOT let Steven hold him, and of course we had no stroller. It was a mess, but he had a ball and everyone was laughing at him and saying how cute he was. Oh and he again, pointed in amazement to PeeDee from afar, and as soon as I got close enough for a picture with him and PeeDee, he lost it. So, maybe one day he'll warm up.
Oh and the cutest thing I saw him do all day was when we took him into Old Navy after we left the game, he was talking and petting thefake dog and children up front, we almost couldn't get him to leave!!! Ok that's enough for now, after this long day, I don't know how people do it with TWO children....
I love this little boy so much, and the best thing about it is, I can give him back!!!

Keeping myself busy

While my husband is in school becoming Dr. Asby, I have learned that I need something to keep myself busy, until he gives me the ok to have babies :) haha. SO, I had lunch today with Rebecca Warren so that she could tell me more about becoming a jeweler for Premiere Jewelry and it really sounds like something I want to do. The way I look at it is, if it isn't working out, I will just quit doing it after I earn back my initial investment of course. It is definitely something to pray about and something I think could be a really fun way of earning extra money! We definitely could use the money while Steven's in school.
Also, today Tyson, my princess, had surgery and I hope and pray everything turns out ok. He is doing great since I picked him up, but they have sent off his tumor they removed to make sure it's not malignant...Lord I hope it's not. Anyway, I am excited about tomorrow night I am going over to Shayna's house since her husband, who is the Operations guy for ECU baseball, is out of town. Girls nights are always fun...pictures to follow :)

Sunday Night Blues

I hate Sunday nights because it is a reminder of how quickly my weekend went by. Don't get me wrong, I love my job, but wouldn't it be nice to be able to have a LITTLE bit of a longer weekend? Steven and I didn't do much Friday night because I had to wake up early Saturday morning at 6:00 to go and help Mama set up for her yard sale. Then I helped Steven's sister move some furniture out of her bedroom to make room for her new baby, who should be here on or before the 29th of this month. After all of this, I joined Kathryn and Baby Lloyd for lunch, ice cream, and then some shopping. We then went over to Donna Tedder's for a jewelry party where the hostesses donated 50% of their profits to our Kiwanis club, how unbelievably nice of them!!! I believe after this long day Kathryn probably had to go home and prop her feet up, I seem to have this effect on my pregnant friends, like Natalie when Cooper and I drug her all around Crabtree Valley until her legs were so swollen :(.

Anyway, Steven has a 10 page paper due on Tuesday so needless to say I haven't seen too much of him this weekend...oh the life of a doctor's wife haha (just not the medical kind). I am very proud of him for what he is doing, it is just really hard not having him here as much and not having much time for each other. I did give him a surprise the other day...Lindsay and I had Kingston's 1 year pictures made a while back and I just got the CD from her and I gave Steven this picture for his office. He bought Kingston this Jersey (of course) for his first birthday and I had to get his picture made in it for him...anyway I love this little boy so much, how could you not??
